According to a user named OcuLos410 – Horizon Worlds, beginning today, creators of Horizon Worlds will be required to submit a rating for their own worlds.
Meta has sent a letter detailing the Mature Worlds Policy to all developers. According to the letter, the new Mature Worlds Policy is based on community feedback and user demands for the ability to create a broader spectrum of content in Horizon Worlds. We’re expecting creators to grade their worlds over the next 30 days as part of this expansion so that visitors to Horizon Worlds know what to expect.
After that grace time, unrated worlds will default to 18+ regardless of their content. After that time, creators will still have the opportunity to adjust the rating. This option may be found on the World tab of Build mode.
Meta demands that mature worlds be identified when they are intended for mature audiences. Horizon will accept the following worlds, but they must be tagged as Mature.
– Content that is sexually suggestive; for example, near nudity, depictions of people in implied or suggestive positions, or an environment focused on activities that are overly suggestive.
– Worlds that are dedicated to or have a core focus on the promotion of marijuana, alcohol, tobacco, or age-regulated activities (including gambling).
– Intense or excessively violent fictional content, including blood and gore, could shock or disgust users.
